End Time:2014-09-03

Registration Deadline:2014-09-03

During the 1930s and 1940s,

at least 18,000 European Jewish Refugees escaped to Shanghai for a shelter. The refugees and the local Chinese people lived harmoniously with each other and tided over difficulties together.

After the war, most of the refugees survived.

In order to witness and commemorate the history, we have cooperated with some of the former

Shanghai Jewish refugees and the related scholars and experts in this field, collecting and researching the names of the former Shanghai Jewish refugees. Based on the research, 13,732 names of the former Shanghai Jewish refugees

will be carved on a bronze sculpture to be installed on a special wall at the museum.
