Introductions to Speakers

Xu Mingqi:

He is a researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of World Economy of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, vice chairman of Shanghai Center for International Economic Exchanges, director of Center for European Studies at Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, president of Shanghai Institute for European Studies, vice president of Shanghai Credit Services Trade Association, vice president of China Research Institute for European Economy[1] , executive director and deputy secretary-general of China Society of World Economics, director of China International Finance Society, director of Shanghai Finance Society, director of Asia-Pacific Research Association[2] , and member of the international organization “Globalization Committee”. He once served as the deputy director of the Institute of World Economy, and the editor-in-chief of the journals Social Science and Quarterly Journal of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. Currently, he has been invited to serve as part-time professor of Fudan University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, member of the Academic Committee of School of Finance of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and academic consultant of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies. His research areas cover international economic theory, international finance, market structure, foreign exchange theory, monetary policy, and China’s financial reform and opening up.

Sun Lixing

He is the director of the International Investment Research Office of Institute of World Economy at Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, executive deputy director, researcher, and doctoral supervisor of Center for International Finance and Monetary Research, deputy secretary-general and executive director of China Society of World Economics, vice president and secretary-general of Shanghai Society of World Economics, and member of the Standing Committee of Huangpu CPPCC.

Zhan Yubo

With a doctoral degree in economics, he is a researcher and doctoral supervisor. He is currently the director of the Western Economics Research Office[3]  of Institute of Economics at Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, director of the Research Center for Innovative Economy[4] , chief expert of the innovation team of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, a part-time researcher at the China Center for Economic Studies at Fudan University and Fudan-Pingan Research Institute for Macroeconomy. He has published more than 30 papers on authoritative influential journals at home and abroad, and presided over a number of projects such as projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and major projects of national high-end think tanks. His thematic reports have been approved by national, provincial and ministerial leaders for many times, or adopted by provincial and ministerial departments and above. He has won provincial and ministerial awards many times.
