超过1300人参加2024上海国际再保险会议 2024-10-24
The 2024 Shanghai International Reinsurance Conference has opened, with the three-day event attracting more than 1,300 participants from over 360 institutions in 23 countries and regions.
The conference kicked off on Tuesday under the theme ‘Global Cooperation for Win-Win Openness.’
Shanghai Insurance Exchange, Lingang Group, China Reinsurance Group, and China Property and Casualty Reinsurance are co-hosting the event with the aim of promoting the city’s further development as an international financial center.
In August, the National Financial Regulatory Administration and the Shanghai government jointly issued opinions and regulations to hasten construction of the Shanghai International Reinsurance Registration and Trading Center.
The center’s establishment was announced at the conference’s main forum on Wednesday along with a second lot of supporting business rules to gradually improve the regulatory framework. It was also noted that market vitality has continued to emerge, and a preliminary reinsurance ecosystem has begun to take shape.
The Shanghai International Reinsurance Conference has been held five times and ranks among the four largest annual meetings for reinsurers worldwide. This year’s conference is also notable for being the first global event organized by direct insurers and reinsurers for reinsurance renewal roadshows.
