The West Bund in Xuhui District will become the global IT community's epicenter next month when the Global Developer Pioneers Summit (GDPS) 2026 takes place from March 27 to 29.
This year's summit is designed to bridge the gap between academic research and commercial application. Key sessions and demonstrations will explore the most exciting trends of 2026, such as AI agents, Terminal AI (processing on devices), Embodied Intelligence (humanoid robots), and the new OPC (One-Person Company) model, which looks at how AI helps individual entrepreneurs manage whole businesses.
The event aligns with Shanghai's strategic roadmap to lead in three "pioneering industries" – artificial intelligence, bio-medicine and integrated circuits. The organizers emphasize that the summit is a "primer stage" for startups, independent developers, and tech enthusiasts to showcase their work and connect with global venture capital and industry leaders.
The GDPS 2026 is hosted by the World Artificial Intelligence Conference Organizing Committee, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and the Xuhui District Government, in partnership with the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Association.
