上海为全球投资促进大会做好准备 2026-03-01
The 2026 "Invest In Shanghai" Week and the Shanghai Global Investment Promotion Conference will kick off next month as the city pledges further support to improve the business environment.
The events bring together hundreds of industrial leaders to further boost the city's economic vitality and global investment potential and are expected to further highlight Shanghai's pivotal role as a premier global investment destination and its enduring appeal to domestic and international investors.
The conference will be held on March 14 under the theme "Shanghai Spring, Future Forward," with the Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone being the main venue. A whole range of city and district-level business promotion activities will be held during the week.
The flagship conference has invited nearly 500 renowned domestic and international enterprises to participate, including industry leaders such as Dell, AstraZeneca, GE, Sanofi, and Haier, alongside prominent investment institutions like Brookfield Asset Management, KKR and Qiming Venture Partners, as well as emerging innovative forces such as MiniMax, Dreame Technology, and Horizon Robotics.
According to Tang Wenkan, director of the Shanghai Commission of Economy and Informatization, the conference will focus on fostering new productive forces and comprehensively showcase Shanghai's industrial ecosystem advantages.
Project roadshows and B2B matchmaking sessions will also be held for international corporate delegations, actively promoting practical investment matchmaking and project collaboration.
With the establishment of 6,300 new foreign-funded enterprises in the city last year, an increase of 6.8 percent, Shanghai has continued to solidify its position as a prime destination for foreign investment.
Over 20 key industry promotion events will be held over the week and each of the city's 16 districts will highlight its key industry clusters and respective advantages.
In addition, more than 20 specialized on-site visiting routes will also be offered, covering key sectors such as the Pudong New Area's pioneering industries, Xuhui District's artificial intelligence sector, and Minhang District's commercial aerospace sector, allowing participants to conduct in-depth field visits to industrial parks and leading enterprises.
