The International Exhibition of Senior Care, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Healthcare Shanghai 2026, also known as AID 2026, will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from June 4 to 6.

Jointly organized by the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau and the Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the exhibition spans 60,000 square meters and features nearly 680 enterprises from 22 countries and regions, highlighting the latest advancements in the silver economy.

With a strong focus on cross-border integration, AID 2026 brings together leading brands across more than 10 sectors, including elderly care services, home appliances, rehabilitation devices, finance, and cultural tourism. This reflects a significant shift in elderly consumption from basic needs to a pursuit of high-quality retirement living.

International participation has expanded significantly — the Australian delegation has doubled in size, while Canada and the UK are joining with official delegations for the first time, showcasing innovations like bionic skincare solutions. Additionally, all 16 districts of Shanghai are participating collectively, each highlighting their unique industrial strengths.

Technological innovation and financial support are key highlights this year. The exhibition will showcase a range of domestic innovations — such as exoskeleton robots, intelligent walking aids, and AI companion robots — promoting the transition of advanced technologies from professional settings to home care environments.

For the first time, an elderly care finance zone will be introduced, featuring banks, trusts, and insurance institutions. This zone will offer integrated services that combine judicial guardianship with financial products.

A series of professional forums — including the AID 2026 Silver Industry Innovation and Development Conference — will run concurrently, bringing together representatives from government, businesses, academia, and research institutions to explore new industry pathways.
