上海港在海上锚地完成首次双船双燃料加注作业 2026-08-17

Shanghai Port has simultaneously supplied two types of green fuel to two international ocean-going vessels at its offshore anchorage for the first time ever, demonstrating the formation of diversified and large-scale offshore green energy bunkering capacity.
Liquefied natural gas bunkering vessel Haigang Weilai completed the bunkering of LNG to Singapore-flagged dual-fuel LNG container ship Kota Elan, while methanol bunkering vessel Haigang Zhiyuan completed the bunkering of China-produced biomethanol to Malta-flagged methanol-powered container ship CMA CGM Osmium at the Lvhuashan Anchorage yesterday, China News Service reported.
Most of the biomethanol from the CMA CGM Osmium operation was produced in Taonan in China’s northeastern Jilin province, a region abundant in green energy resources, and transported overland to Dalian Port before being shipped to Shanghai by sea transit. This opened a cross-regional supply chain channel for green methanol, from production in Jilin, transshipment in Dalian, and bunkering in Shanghai.
Bunkering clean fuels at anchorages helps shipowners cut expenses, such as berthing fees, tugboat charges, and pilotage fees incurred during berth-side bunkering, shorten vessel waiting periods, and lower refueling costs for international vessels. It is also expected to further consolidate Shanghai Port’s comprehensive shipping competitiveness.
