中国建造的两艘38000吨级大型重型运输船亮相 2026-08-30
Two massive new mega-cargo ships have been unveiled in China to meet the booming global demand for green energy tech. The 38,000-ton vessels will transport China’s "New Three" exports of wind turbine parts, electric vehicles and giant power station batteries from China to Europe, Australia and S. America.
Built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC), the sister ships were officially named after Polish artists Stanisław Wyspiański and Józef Chełmoński during a ceremony in Qidong, Jiangsu Province. The ships feature a completely flat, open top deck equivalent to 11 standard basketball courts, making it easy to carry huge items like trains and harbor cranes. The extra-long holds inside allow the ships to carry 1.5 times more wind blades than standard cargo ships. They also come with three custom-built, built-in cranes.
Shanghai ports exported 386.4 billion yuan ($57.50 billion USD) worth of green tech in the first seven months of this year alone, a massive 48.5% jump compared to last year.
