中国GPU行业上半年有所进步,两家制造商扭亏为盈,两家微幅亏损 2026-08-31

Against the backdrop of increasing demand from the artificial intelligence industry, the Chinese graphics processing unit industry is developing fast, with two GPU manufacturers turning losses into profits, and two others seeing their losses narrow in the first half of the year.
MetaX Integrated Circuits reported a net profit of CNY612 million (USD91.1 million) in the six months ended June 30, compared with a net loss of CNY186 million a year earlier, the Shanghai-based firm said yesterday in its semiannual earnings report. Revenue expanded 45 percent to CNY1.3 billion (USD197 million), as its GPU products achieved commercial application in clusters of thousands of cards.
Iluvatar CoreX Semiconductor, another GPU developer also headquartered in Shanghai, logged a net profit of CNY106 million in the first half, versus a net loss of CNY300 million in the same period last year. Revenue surged 192 percent to CNY946 million, thanks to the accelerated commercialization of intelligent computing clusters.
Moore Threads Technology saw its net loss narrow to CNY11.6 million (USD1.7 million) in the first half from CNY271 million a year ago, and its revenue climbed 147 percent to CNY1.7 billion, according to the Beijing-based GPU maker’s latest financial statement.
Binren Technology said in its first-half earnings report that its net loss shrank 76 percent to CNY377 million from a year earlier, while revenue skyrocketed nearly 20-fold to CNY1.2 billion. The Shanghai-based company highlighted its customer expansion, noting that its GPU products have been deployed by leading internet firms, AI model developers, and AI data centers.
All four GPU developers increased their research and development expenses in the first half, with Binren spending the most, up 41 percent to CNY804 million from the same period last year. Moore Threads, Iluvatar CoreX, and MetaX invested CNY769 million, CNY559 million, and CNY525 million in R&D between January and June, up 38 percent, 24 percent, and 15 percent, respectively.
