Day care scheme is ready to roll
GOVERNMENT-RUN day care centers for elementary school pupils will next week begin taking applications for the “Love Summer Care” program, an official said yesterday.
The scheme, which was launched last year by the Shanghai Youth League Committee, provides care for youngsters while their parents are at work.
A total of 243 centers across the city will take part in the scheme this year, 14 more than in 2014.
