SHANGHAI Mayor Yang Xiong met Espoo City Manager Jukka Mäkelä and his delegation last week.

Yang said that this year is the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Finland and Espoo have made development in fields such as science and technology innovation as well as cultural exchanges.

Yang continued that Shanghai is following the Chinese central government's strategies to become a global innovation center and Shanghai has released 22 guidelines to speed up the efforts.
