GREEN cars was gaining popularity in the city as the number of new energy vehicles registered last year is more than 4 times that were registered in 2014, the city's Commission of Economy and Informatization said yesterday. The city had registered 44,247 new energy cars in 2015, which was 4.15 times that in 2014. Among the green cars registered last month, about 77 percent were plug-in hybrid power ones, while the rest were purely electric.
