Running through March 29, the festival showcases a stunning spring floral display, featuring nearly one million tulips, 7,000 cherry trees, 1,120 weeping crabapple trees, and 600 purple-leaf plum trees. The tulips display covers 12,000 square meters, with 30 varieties ensuring continuous blooms throughout the event.
Embracing a traditional Chinese romantic style, the festival offers an immersive garden experience with parades showcasing the 12 Flower Goddesses, intangible cultural heritage performances, handcraft salons, traditional Chinese-style NPC tours, and humanoid robot performances in ancient costumes.
Amid the floral setting, the festival will also feature a romantic group wedding ceremony organized by the Civil Affairs Bureau.
A key feature of the festival is the integration of events with cultural tourism. On March 22, the 2026 China Athletics Association 10 kilometer Elite Series will take place, with the course winding through the flower displays, creating an event, cultural tourism, and consumption integrated experience through themed landscapes and checkpoints.
To engage younger audiences, the festival introduces the IP of CCTV's popular animation "Season Elves" in the park, alongside film installations and public welfare pet fairs.
University association dance flash mobs add youthful energy to the event. Additionally, distinctive dining options like One Step Garden offer visitors a dual sensory experience for the first time.
In addition, the festival also enhances the composite consumption model. Daning Park, in collaboration with four major shopping malls, including Daning Music Square and Shanghai Jiuguang Center, establishes Flower Festival consumption sub-venues with exclusive mall discounts.
The festival is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors, generating nearly 100 million yuan in consumer market and collaboration opportunities.
