2026 ASICS tennis junior tour held in Shanghai

The 2026 ASICS Tennis Junior Tour is launched at the Xijiao Sports Center in Shanghai from May 23 to 24.
The 2026 ASICS Tennis Junior Tour concluded at the Xijiao Sports Center in Shanghai last weekend.
This year's event expanded the U10 and U12 boys' and girls' singles draws to 48 positions each. The expansion broadened participation while providing more young players with access to Chinese Tennis Association (CTA) points and high-quality competitive platforms.

Brand Ambassador Wallace Chung attends the opening ceremony.
The Shanghai leg attracted 192 young tennis players, with winners in each category securing wildcards for the annual finals. Subsequent stops of the season will be held in Guangzhou, Tianjin, and other cities, with the year-end championship taking place in Beijing in October.
Alongside the tournament upgrades, ASICS launched an elite development program in partnership with the Beijing Tennis Team and Beijing Municipal Tennis Administration Center. Selected players will participate in the Beijing tennis reserve talent training camp in August, and some will have the opportunity to study at top overseas tennis academies.

Koji Hayashi, Chairman of ASICS China, attends the opening ceremony.
"Supporting young people is very important for building a positive social culture. We need to give young people opportunities to participate in sports," Koji Hayashi, Chairman of ASICS China, said. "In the Chinese market, we need to do more and more.
"We plan to open more stores to raise our brand awareness in China," he said. "We also want to host various events — not just tennis, but also running competitions — in key cities to cultivate the local running culture."
