Major work on Line 9 extension completed
A PASSAGEWAY for a tunnel on the eastern extension of Metro Line 9 was completed early yesterday, Metro operator Shanghai Shentong Group said.
Shentong said it expected the third phase of extension to be ready and operational by the end of 2017.
Shanghai Metro is adding another 216 kilometers to the city's network by 2020.
