首艘“中国造”极地破冰船雪龙2号在上海下水 - 2018年09月11日
1st domestic icebreaker launched
CHINA’S first wholly domestically conceived and built icebreaker Xuelong 2 took to the sea yesterday at Jiangnan Shipyard in Chongming’s Changxing Island.
Construction of the vessel began in December 20, 2016.
Xuelong 2 will be put into service in the first half of 2019. It will team up with another icebreaker Xuelong on polar expeditions next year.
