President Xi to attend opening ceremony of China's first import expo
Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony of the first China International Import Expo in Shanghai on November 5, a senior official said Monday.
Xi will deliver a keynote speech at the ceremony and visit the country pavilions with foreign leaders, Vice Commerce Minister Fu Ziying told a press conference.
The president and his wife Peng Liyuan will host a welcoming banquet on November 4, and he will meet heads of state and government during the CIIE which runs from November 5 to 10, Fu said.
