Set to serve with foreign language knowledge
Staff at downtown shopping malls and restaurants have begun studying the basics of multiple foreign languages to better serve customers from around the world during the China International Import Expo.
More than 1,000 staffers at major shopping malls, speciality stores and eateries along the popular commercial streets in Huangpu District are being trained in basic foreign language skills.
The Huangpu District Commission of Commerce has released a handbook entitled Practical Foreign Language for Business Service. It includes basic greetings and conversation in English, Japanese, Germany, French and Mandarin.
