Nearly 260,000 visited Gucun Park in north Shanghai over the first weekend for the city's annual cherry blossom festival.
Some 138,000 visitors flocked to the park in Baoshan District on the second day of the monthlong festival on Saturday, more than double the same period last year, according to the district government.
Another 121,158 people visited the park on Sunday.
