A "Future Space" innovation park was unveiled in the newly expanded Shanghai free trade zone in Fengxian District on Saturday to mainly focus on the intelligent and new energy vehicle sectors.
The innovation park in the eastern part of the southern outskirts is targeted at being an industrial heartland of the Lingang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and a stage for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, the Fengxian government said.
It will gather the world's leading industries on 5G, or the next generation of mobile communication technology, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, new materials and NEVs, said Gu Yi, deputy director of Fengxian.
