Over 50 medical staff from Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital donated blood on Monday morning.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, Shanghai has experienced a blood shortage. The hospital launched a campaign to call for blood donations and over 230 people answered the call to participate within 10 days, hospital officials said.
Some staff donated blood at donation spots near their homes or went to Shanghai Blood Center to make donations.
