Shanghai has had no COVID-19 cases imported from waterways or ports so far, police said on Wednesday.
The harbor and waterway police said they were under great pressure to curb the virus at Shanghai’s ports, but strict measures had been implemented to secure the city.
At Luojing Port, eight crew from a cargo ship which left Thailand in early March and arrived at the Shanghai port last Sunday were allowed off the ship on Wednesday morning. They will be replaced by another crew before the ship departs.
