Waigaoqiao shipbuilder delivers fifth vessel since work resumption
Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co Ltd delivered a 180,000 dwt Capesize bulk carrier to ship owner Polaris Shipping Co Ltd and financier Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co Ltd. It is the fifth ship delivered since the shipbuilding company resumed work.
Since work resumption, the company has signed contracts for the construction of two 158,000 dwt Suezmax tankers and started work on a 114,000 dwt Aframax tankers, four 210,000 dwt Newcastlemax bulk carriers and one 180,000 dwt Capesize bulk carrier.
Besides, the company also delivered a JU200E offshore jack up drilling platform and a PX121 Platform Supply Vessel.
