Multinationals set out their Pudong future
Eighteen multinational companies signed contracts expressing their intention to establish regional headquarters in the Pudong New Area on Wednesday.
They included Tokyo Electron Ltd, a leader in semi-conductor manufacturing equipment, and Noveastern, an automotive plastic parts manufacturer.
Eight multinationals have based their regional headquarters in Pudong this year, bringing the total to 340, nearly half of those in the city.
