Gifts were presented to five representatives of medics from the Shanghai No. 5 People’s Hospital who had helped fight COVID-19 in Hubei Province on Monday evening at a ceremony to kick off the Double Five Shopping Festival in Minhang District.
The gifts including a year of free car maintenance provided by Tuhu, candies from Perfetti Van Melle and Coca-Cola’s "We Love Wuhan" cans were to recognize their contribution to the nation's efforts in combating the pandemic and welcome them back to the city.
More than 80 enterprises were also honored for making donations during the pandemic with eight representatives appearing at the ceremony at the POPC shopping mall in Minhang.
