Kudos for front-line medical staff dominated during the novel cornonavirus outbreak, but there were also other workers providing essential services that helped ease the difficulties of the pandemic. Couriers were among the unsung heroes.
These deliverymen were a lifeline, transporting disinfectants, masks and groceries to locals when most businesses and markets were shut down.
Wang Xiaoxi, a courier with Shanghai-based SF Express, delivered about 500 parcels a day in February and March, more than triple his normal workload.
