Market watchdog orders suspension of frozen shrimp sales after coronavirus found
Shanghai's market watchdogs have ordered the immediate suspension of sales of frozen shrimp imported from three Ecuadorian producers after sample inspections showed coronavirus contamination.
The Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation said on Saturday that it has ordered district market watchdogs citywide to enhance inspections and checks of relevant import food companies, as well as food manufacturers, food wholesale markets, supermarkets, aquatic product dealers and central kitchens.
Sample tests will also be increased.
