CIIE cold-storage foods subject to strict scrutiny
Free tasting of imported cold-storage foods such as salmon and tuna will be prohibited during the upcoming third China International Import Expo due to the novel coronavirus, a senior official with the city's market watchdog revealed on Monday.
Samples of imported salmon and tuna proved popular in previous expos.
Strict measures are being taken to ensure the food safety of cold-storage foods, said Zhang Zhunmin, a counselor at Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation.
