The Pudong New Area government released its Group Open Innovation plan on Thursday. IDEA LAB, a creative lab of the Free Trade No. 1 Plaza in the bonded area, focusing on biomedicine, is on the list of the first batch of members to join the plan.

The plan is one of the six projects to build Pudong into a leading area of socialist modernization according to the suggestions of the State Council. It calls on industry leaders with business in Pudong to build open innovation platforms and create collaborative innovation networks.

The member should be a leading company in the industry or field with clear plans and professional teams. It should have over 100 enabling companies, which can not only develop itself well but also help the development of the core enterprise, within three years, meeting at least three of six functions, namely space, business incubation, technology, investment, commerce and ecology.
