The 25th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) is scheduled to take place from June 9 to June 18, 2023. And the media online registration channel on the SIFF official website www.siff.com will be open from April 15 to May 31. Born in 1993, Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), as the first and only international competitive feature film festival in China, has been witnessed the development ups and downs of Chinese film. The 25th SIFF will return to the limelight with a complete lineup of sections and the brand-new modes of expressions spawned by revolutionary technological progress and innovation.Now, we invite media reporters to gather in Shanghai in June this year to celebrate the glamour of film art.

The application steps are as follows:

1. Media personnel applying to become registered reporters for the 25th SIFF, please download and install the “SIFF-Shanghai International Film Festival” APP on your phone, then visit www.siff.com, and enter the “Journalist Registration”section in “REGISTRATION`SUBMISSION”.

2. Please fill in the registration application form accurately, and upload the supporting materials as required, including the standard ID photo taken within half a year, the information page of the press card issued and annually inspected by the national competent authority, and the letter of introduction issued and sealed by the unit. For website and new media covering and editing personnel, please upload a photocopy of the ID card and the collective registration certificate issued by the unit, and indicate the name of website or new media.

3. Upon registration, please upload the link of recent reports on SIFF or other film fields, or send the link of relevant reports to press@siff.com. The above links are not required, but they will be important reference factors when the Press Department of the organizing committee reviews media qualifications.

4. After the registration application is submitted, the Press Department of the organizing committee will check your relevant information. When your registration is approved, we will send a confirmation letter to your registered email address. The confirmation letter will explain how to use the electronic media certificate adopted by this year’s SIFF. Otherwise, no further email notification will be made.
