Notice for media interview

The ISU Shanghai Trophy in Short Track Speed Skating & Synchronized Skating will be held at the Oriental Sports Center from March 4 to 6, 2016.

The first skating competition named after a city by the International Skating Union, Shanghai Trophy is organized by the ISU and jointly held by the Chinese Skating Association and the Shanghai Sports Bureau.

Shanghai is the only city in China that has held world championships in both short track speed skating and figure skating. By setting up this short track speed skating & synchronized skating competition, ISU will for the first time organize an event during which both Winter Olympics sports and non-Olympic sports will be held at the same time and in the same venue and it has chosen Shanghai to inaugurate it, therefore establishing a new “Shanghai Standard” for its world debut.
