The 18th China International Industry Fair will be held in National Exhibition and Convention Center （Shanghai）during November 1-5, 2016. (Address: 333 Songze RD, Qingpu District. Accessible via Line 2, stopping at East Xujing Station.)

The industry fair this year covers 270,000 square meters, 17 percent larger from last year. More than 30 percent of exhibitors are from overseas, and the amount of original products peaks among the industry fairs in history. The fair covers eight display areas, respectively to show achievements on numerically-controlled machine tool and metal processing, industrial automation, industrially environmental protection technologies and equipment, information and communications technologies and applications, new energy and electricity, energy saving and new energy vehicles, robots and technical innovations. More than 2,100 exhibitors will be present to share their latest products in these fields. Apart from that, three special exhibition areas are to display achievements of projects led by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Exhibits include high-end numerically-controlled machine tools and basic equipment manufacturing, model pilot projects on smart manufacturing, and also fruits on shipping and ocean engineering, all of which will prove that the China International Industry Fair is a national star exhibition. It leads globally on displaying the latest technologies and the nation’s policies, serving as the bridge to integrate market needs and government guidance. This year we initiated the “Country of Honor” mechanism, inviting Russia to take the pride. In addition, the forums to be held during exhibitions are upgraded as we introduced ministry-municipal cooperative forums this year, highlighting the international conference on innovation and emerging industries held by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the summit forum on international robots test and certification hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission. Other routine forums continue this year, as the Fifth China Robot Industry Summit and the Fourth Smart City and Industrial Internet Forum are expected to be held during the fair, enhancing interactions and concentration among industries as usual.

All journalists to sign up for this fair should bring your press cards issued by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (within the period of validity). Foreign reporters should bring your permanent press cards or valid reporter visas. All these documents should be posted to the news office of the China International Industry Fair, or uploaded via email for registration.
