On November 18, 2021, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization approved the establishment of the Shanghai Intelligent Vehicle Software Park. This park is a municipal-level information service industry base and a hub for urban digital transformation in the city. It is situated in the Shanghai International Automobile City in Jiading District, covering an area of 3.73 square kilometers. The park is designed to be an “intelligent software hub and a future-oriented automobile city,” focusing on the digital transformation of the automotive industry. The software park mainly provides intelligent vehicle software, Internet of Vehicles, and intelligent transportation information services. Its aim is to seek breakthroughs in core technologies such as autonomous driving, intelligent cockpit, and digital system software. The park also intends to form an automotive software industry cluster with leading advantages in the fields of software development architecture, automotive basic software, embedded systems, test tools, and automotive application software. The goal is to build a global intelligent vehicle software innovation center, a national intelligent vehicle software industry pilot zone, and an intelligent vehicle software application demonstration zone in Shanghai. The construction of the software park is focused on innovation, upgrading, overhaul, and transformation. It features various functions, including headquarters office, commercial complex, science and technology innovation center, talent apartments, and financial services. Additionally, the park boasts a range of facilities such as those for culture and creativity, sports, community, and ecology.
