The Shanghai Carbon Fiber
Composites Innovation Institute is situated within Carbon Valley Green Bay Industrial
Park in Jinshan District, Shanghai. This collaborative endeavor brings together
prominent entities such as Shanghai Petrochemical, Shanghai Electric Group,
Donghua University, Jinshan Second Industrial Zone, Sino Polymer, Cedar
Composites, and Shanghai Xbook. Initiated and established by these seven units,
this innovative institution operates under a mixed-ownership model, driven by a
collective vision to create a preeminent R&D and transformation functional
platform for carbon fiber composites in Shanghai.
Leveraging the concentrated
expertise in carbon fiber composite research, manufacturing, and application
industries in Shanghai and the broader Yangtze River Delta region, the
institute is strategically centered around the R&D and transformation functions
of carbon fiber and its composite materials. Aligned with global development
trends, the institute merges insights into the carbon fiber composite industry
in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region. Its current emphasis on the
materials industry chain is directed towards conquering common, core, and key
technologies crucially required by multiple industries.
The institute’s strategic
approach involves capitalizing on regional advantages, integrating local
resources, and catalyzing a formidable force for innovation. Through
collaborative initiatives in innovation and entrepreneurship, the institute
seeks to foster co-construction and sharing, emerging as a pivotal platform for
academic exchanges within the discipline and industry of carbon fiber
composites in Shanghai. Additionally, it aspires to serve as a high-end talent
hub, a wellspring of innovation and development, thereby establishing an
influential carbon fiber composites innovation ecosystem and industrial
cluster. With a commitment to propelling the domestic application development
of carbon fiber composites, the institute aims to garner recognition both
domestically and internationally, contributing significantly to the
construction of Shanghai’s Science and Technology Innovation Center with global
influence.
Established on August 30, 2018,
the East China UAV Base is spearheaded by the Jinshan District Government and
the Bay Area High-tech Zone, receiving essential backing from the East China
Regional Administration of Civil Aviation of China, the Shanghai Municipal Commission
of Economy and Informatization, the Shanghai Municipal Transportation
Commission, and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission.
Operated by Xinjinshan Development Company, the UAV base incorporates the
Shanghai Jinshan UAV Flight Service Center.
Distinguished as the sole UAV
industrial park in Shanghai and one of the pioneering “civilian unmanned
aviation test zones” nationwide, it holds a pivotal role as the core zone
within the “East China UAV Airport” situated in the Hongqiao International Hub for
Opening-up and is strategically oriented towards showcasing demonstration
applications. Emphasizing scenario applications and prioritizing industrial
applications, it is committed to expediting the establishment of a
comprehensive drone industry ecosystem. This ecosystem includes research and
development, manufacturing, flight services, airworthiness testing, exhibition
and trading, innovation incubation, and contributions to science, education,
culture, and tourism. The overarching goal is to create a dynamic agglomeration
area for the drone industry, a dedicated application scenario test area, and a
regulatory standard release area.
