1. Bosch (China) Investment Co., Ltd.
Bosch Group, the world’s largest
automotive technology supplier and a Global Fortune 500 company, first entered
the Chinese market in 1909, establishing its inaugural trade office. By 1926,
Bosch had opened its first automotive after-sales service workshop in Shanghai.
From 2012 to 2022, Bosch invested over RMB 50 billion in China, averaging more
than RMB 5 billion in new investments annually.
In 2020, Bosch’s sales in China reached
RMB 117.3 billion. That same year, the Bosch China Innovation and Software
Development Center was inaugurated in the Wuxi Economic Development Zone,
focusing on developing technical solutions tailored to the Chinese market.
Since its opening, the center’s team has grown to over 700 employees, achieving
sales of RMB 140 million in its first six months — a 200% year-on-year
increase.
In 2022, Bosch’s sales in China amounted
to RMB 132.1 billion, with its automotive and intelligent transportation systems
business surpassing RMB 100 billion in sales for the first time. As of December
31, 2023, Bosch operated 63 companies in China, employing nearly 58,000 people
and generating sales of RMB 139.1 billion. China has thus become Bosch Group’s
largest single market outside of Germany and hosts the highest number of Bosch
employees outside its home country.
2. LUNEURS
LUNEURS is a French bakery that
combines an ice cream selection of brands. It originated in Shanghai, embodying a French lifestyle brand that
combines ice cream with handmade baked goods. It aims to create a rich life
experience through diverse food concepts and innovative space design.
In June 2018, coinciding with China’s efforts
on consumption upgrade, LUNEURS opened its first store in Shanghai, achieving
a turnover of RMB 700,000 in its first month. Since then, LUNEURS has expanded beyond Shanghai to cities like Chengdu, Shenzhen,
Beijing, and Nanjing, becoming a benchmark project for locations such as
Shanghai Disney Resort and Chengdu IFS. To date, LUNEURS has
opened 19 stores across China, employing over 300 people. The brand updates its
product line 50 times a year, with over 15,000 servings sold every day.
