Dear journalists,

We will arrange an academic salon for Chinese and foreign media professionals on policy messages from the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China at 14:00 on July 23 (Tuesday) in the café on the first floor of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (7, Lane 622, Middle Huaihai Road). Renowned experts in macroeconomics, industrial economics, and labor and employment will provide an in-depth analysis of the far-reaching significance and impact of the plenary session on China’s future development. Profiles 

 

Zhang Zhaoan

Zhang Zhaoan is a second-level researcher, holding a PhD in economics and serving as a doctoral supervisor. He is currently a counselor for the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. Previously, he was the vice president of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the director of the District and County Research Center, and the vice chairman of the Shanghai Center for International Economic Exchanges. Dr. Zhang is a member of the 10th Shanghai CPPCC and has been a deputy to the 11th, 12th, and 13th National People’s Congress. His primary research areas include macroeconomics, microeconomics, and regional economics.

 

Li Wei

Li Wei is a researcher with a PhD in Economics and serves as a PhD supervisor. He is currently the Dean of the Graduate School at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. Major Academic Achievements: Chief expert for the National Social Science Fund’s major special project, “Research on Promoting the Deep Integration of Internet, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Real Economy.” In recent years, he has led more than 60 projects of various types, including major projects for the National Social Science Fund, the National High-end Think Tank Council, Shanghai Decision-making Consulting, and Shanghai Social Science Planning. Dr. Li has published dozens of papers in core journals and theoretical articles in prominent media outlets such as Guangming Daily and Economic Daily. Additionally, he has independently and collaboratively published several monographs.

 

Wang Yi

Wang Yi is a researcher and doctoral supervisor. He currently serves as Deputy Director of Institute of Information Sciences, and Director of Research Center for Human Resource at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. His research areas primarily focus on talent development strategies and talent policies. Dr. Wang has led several provincial and ministerial-level projects and contributed to special research initiatives, such as the Outline of the National Medium- and Long-Term Talent Development Plan (2010-2020). He has also participated in the evaluation of important policies and the drafting of documents for the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Personnel, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
