As the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) approaches, we would like to invite media friends to gain a deeper understanding of the Expo’s core messages on “Developing New Quality Productive Forces and Advancing High-Level Opening-Up” — as well as the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and Shanghai’s economic performance in the third quarter. To this end, we will host the second session of this year’s Academic Salon for Chinese and Foreign Media on October 30 (Thursday), featuring several distinguished experts for in-depth sharing and discussion. Zhou Fengqi
Director and Research Fellow, Institute of Ecology and Sustainable Development, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences; Doctoral Supervisor. Dr. Zhou also serves as Vice President of the China Society for Ecological Economics and President of the Shanghai Society for Ecological Economics. She has led major and key projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation and multiple research programs supported by the Shanghai Municipality. Her work has received honors including the Shanghai Excellent Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences and the China Excellent Blue Book Award. Her main research areas include green economy, eco-city development, and environmental performance assessment.
Liu Liang
Deputy Director and Research Fellow, Institute of Applied Economics, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences; Doctoral Supervisor. Dr. Liu has led several key projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation and the Shanghai Municipality. He has published over 20 papers in leading academic journals and received the Shanghai Excellent Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences as well as the Zhang Zhongli Academic Award. His research focuses on innovation-driven development, the dual circulation strategy, and financial development.
Hui Zhibin
Director and Research Fellow, Center for Internet Studies, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences; Executive Vice President, Shanghai Association for Artificial Intelligence and Social Development. Dr. Hui has long been engaged in research on the digital economy, data as a production factor, and AI governance. He has led more than 50 national and provincial-level research projects and serves as chief editor of several annual blue books.
Zhang Guangting
Associate Research Fellow and Master’s Supervisor, Institute of World Economy, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on international finance and global value chains. She has led several projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation and the Shanghai Municipality, and has published more than 30 papers in leading academic journals. A number of her research findings have received directives or acknowledgments from national and municipal leaders.
