September 22 marks the start of the one-year countdown to the opening of the 46th WorldSkills Competition. A press conference will be held 1:45 pm on September 22 (Tuesday) at the Shanghai Municipal Government’s press briefing room (Conference Hall, Third Floor, West Wing, Shanghai History Museum, 325, Nanjing Road West), during which Tang Tao, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Security, Peng Chenlei, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, and heads of relevant departments will introduce the progress of preparations for the 46th WorldSkills Competition, and answer questions from reporters.

After the press conference, group interviews will be arranged. Reporters are invited to take the shuttle bus to the site to celebrate the start of the one-year countdown to the opening of the 46th WorldSkills Competition (see the annex).

The ceremony to mark the start of the one-year countdown to the opening of the 46th WorldSkills Competition

 

Time: 15:00, September 22, 2020

Venue: Shanghai Exhibition Center (1333, Nanjing Road West), 3rd Floor, Friendship Hall

Schedule:

1. Play the promotional video of the WorldSkills Shanghai; speeches by officials from the Organizing Committee and Executive Board;

2. Present the flag to the representative of the recruitment team of volunteers for the WorldSkills Shanghai;

3. Interaction with attendees at the Shanghai Skills Park (sub-venue) ;

4. The launch ceremony of the animation collection for the WorldSkills Shanghai;

5. Issue certificates to the three dream ambassadors of the WorldSkills Shanghai;

6. Send the invitation letter of WorldSkills Competition to the five continents; video speech by head of the WorldSkills Competition; videos from the members of the WorldSkills Competition on the five continents to extend congratulations;

7. Start the one-year countdown ceremony “Strive for 2021”.
