I.          About Shanghai Forum

The “Shanghai Forum”, held each May in the city of Shanghai since 2005, is an international economic forum hosted by Fudan University and sponsored by Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies. We take as our principal goals attention on Asia, focus on the most topical events, the gathering together and interaction of elites and strengthening of cooperation and striving for consensus between all our partners. The principal question we seek to address is that of “Economic Globalization and Asia’s Choice” - which demands that we organize year by year new interactive platforms between academic, political and business fields and strive to achieve a jointunderstanding that can provide new suggestions and decisions affecting the overall development of Asia in economic, political and societal realm.

Many Chinese and foreign senior dignitaries have attended the Forum and delivered keynote speeches, chaired by presidents from prestigious universities both at home and abroad. World-class scholars, including Nobel Prize laureate and numerous business elites have delivered keynote speeches as special guests.

With continuing exploration and development, Shanghai Forum has been held successfully for seven years, more than 2300 people have attended Shanghai Forum, laying its foundation as one of the most influential international academic forums in China.
