AROUND 700 scientists, entrepreneurs and investors attended the International Precision Medical Treatment Forum in Jiading from October 22 to 23.

In the process of constructing a modern and new type of city, Jiading District lists “healthy Jiading” as a key strategy to accelerate the development of the health care industry and pushing forward the construction of a good environment to improve the health of its residents. So far United Imaging, Shanghai Cell Therapy Research Institute and several other leading health care units have settled in Jiading, providing a sound foundation for the development of the precision medicine industry. In the future, Jiading will welcome more health care professionals to develop in the district, bringing state-of-art technology that will transform innovation and clinical applications, Ma Chunlei, Party secretary of Jiading District, said.

Ma and Wu Mengchao, founding father of China’s hepatobiliary surgery, unveiled a plaque for the Shanghai Wu Mengchao International Nobel Prize Winner Joint Scientific Innovation Center.

The center cooperates with the Nobel Prize Winner International Scientific Communication Association to invite prize winners from Harvard and Standford universities to make a scientific exchange platform in Jiading. The center plans to hold a series of activities to transfer and apply cutting-edge theories and findings in Jiading to accelerate the development of the health care industry.
