QIDI Caohejing (Zhongshan) High-Tech Park, one of the key projects related to district technology innovation plans, is emerging.

It’s part of the G60 High-Tech Corridor Songjiang New City Headquarters for Research and Development.

The corridor, which covers more than 280 square kilometers, will include a series of industrial parks and business zones — all aimed at boosting technology development throughout the Yangtze River Delta and encompassing Shanghai, Jiaxing and Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province.

Qidi Caohejing park has already attracted 22 companies, including research centers and incubation start-ups in sectors such as new energy, medical equipment and automobiles.

One important element in the park is the Analytical Technology Industry Research Institute, which aims to attract experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the US National Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Engineering in the US.

In addition, leaders in the analytical industry, such as Qingpu (Shanghai) Instruments and Baimai Biotechnology Co, have signaled their intent to take up offices in the park.

Another project, the Lingang New City (Zhongshan) High-Tech Park, is also under construction. It is being created as a headquarters site for large companies, research centers and high-technology giants.

The park will be eco-friendly, with greenbelt and comfortable workspaces. The local government is offering incentives for companies moving into the park. To attract and retain professional talent, more than 500 classy, low-rent apartments will be built.

In addition, first phase construction of cultural and art facilities is due to begin this year.

The project is Located in the public greenbelt between the Songjiang New City Headquarter for Research and Development and the International Ecological Business Zone.
