Art beyond race, language and culture - August 23, 2019

上海国际少儿艺术大典在沪举行

Teenagers and children from around the world are showcasing their talent in everything from painting to ceramics, print-making and collage in an exhibition that gives them a platform beyond race, language and culture. “The 4th International Children’s Creative Art Exhibition,” themed on “Symphony of Friendship: One Belt and One Road,” is at the Shanghai Art Collection Museum through the end of August. The exhibition features almost 200 works from 19 countries including China, Egypt, Russia, Iran, Ukraine, Indonesia, America and Germany. The selected artworks are rich in content, different in technique, diverse in form and distinct in genre. Most of the artworks portray the natural, historical and cultural landscapes of the artists’ home countries. Organizers say the works not only show the young artists’ love of their homeland but present their thoughts on cultural exchange along the Belt and Road as well. According to the organizer, the exhibition aims to build a platform for young people around the globe to promote cultural and artistic exchanges and share further understanding about each other’s history and rich civilizations. Info Date: Through August 31 (closed on Mondays), 10am-4:30pm Venue: Shanghai Art Collection Museum Address: 1731 Yan’an Rd W.
