THE CPPCC Shanghai Committee chairman Wu Zhiming met István Jakab, deputy speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary last Friday as he visited the Hungarian capital of Budapest.

Wu briefed Jakab on Shanghai’s economic and social development, particularly the city’s endeavor to become an international center of economy, finance, shipping and trade and a global innovation center.

He also talked about the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiatives.
