复旦大学获校友7亿元捐赠，将用于学科建设和人才引进   2015-12-22

 

CHINA Oceanwide Holdings Group, a real estate and financial company, yesterday donated 700 million yuan (US$108 million) to Fudan University. It is the biggest donation to the university in its 110-year history.

Of the amount, 50 million yuan will be used to establish a special institute that will cultivate innovation and promote startup professionals. Another 50 million yuan will be used to set up a School of International Finance.

Oceanwide said it will keep aside another 50 million yuan for scholarships and financial aids for students from impoverished families. About 300 sophomore and juniors will be subsidized each year to support their overseas exchange activities.
