DURING his meeting with UBS Group CEO Sergio P. Ermotti on Monday, Shanghai Party Secretary Han Zheng said the city is deepening financial reform and is giving top priority to risk control to ensure the development of a mature financial market.

Han said the Shanghai government is keen to hear suggestions and advice from UBS and other world-famous financial institutions and work with them to build Shanghai into an international financial center, using the Shanghai Free Trade Zone as a platform.

He said Shanghai's economic growth depends on continued reform and opening. The city will work hard to improve the quality of growth and create a better business environment for domestic and foreign enterprises.
