Registration for the 2016 Shanghai International Half Marathon will start at 9am today, and places will be assigned through a draw, the organizers announced yesterday.

The April 17 event will feature 8,500 runners in the 21-kilometer half marathon and another 3,500 female runners in the 8-mile (12.87km) women's run.
