Shanghai is turning office buildings into makeshift hospitals to meet a surge in demand to treat COVID-19 patients.Hailed as the city's first project of its kind, the tower at 555 Rihui Road E. in Huangpu District started to receive patients on Wednesday.China's leading real estate broker Pacific Rehouse bought the building for nearly 14 billion yuan (US$2.20 billion) at auction on April 4.
