Fifteen urban reading spaces called "city libraries" were opened in Shanghai's Minhang district last year.
There are presently 30 city libraries located within the district's 14 towns and its Xinzhuang Industry Park.
According to the local culture and tourism bureau, citizens can enter the libraries with their identity cards or reader's cards to borrow and return books.
These libraries are located along streets and in parks, trading areas, and other urban public spaces.
