上海电气将以高达4180万美元的价格收购第二个匈牙利光伏项目 2023-02-05
Shanghai Electric Power, a regional power supplier, said it will acquire its second photovoltaic project in Hungary in around one month.
The company received the board's permission to spend up to EUR37.9 million (USD41.8 million) to buy the project and pay off related shareholder's loans, Shanghai Electric Power announced late on Wednesday.
The Victor Hungary project has an annual installed capacity of 132,000-kilowatt hours, according to the Shanghai-based company. The asset has two project firms in a late development stage, it added.
The assets transaction will be made when the project enters a "pending construction" strange, the company noted, without disclosing further financial details and the project's location.
The announcement follows one in late December, in which Shanghai Electric Power said its unit bought Tokaj PV project in Hungary for EUR33.1 million. This was its first new energy project in central or eastern Europe, it added.
Tokaj, located in northeastern Hungary, has five PV project firms with a total annual installed capacity of about 200,000 kWh, with construction expected to begin this year, Shanghai Electric Power said. The project will be put into operation in 2024, with an annual power generation capacity of about 288 million kWh, it added.
In recent years, Shanghai Electric Power began to invest more in clean energy assets, increasing its operating performance. The jump in clean energy installed power-generation output and operating efficiency is the main reason the company will likely swing into black in 2022 from red a year earlier, it said in a financial forecast.
