巴西将成为今年浦江论坛的主宾国 2023-09-03
Brazil will be the Country of Honor at the 16th Pujiang Innovation Forum in Shanghai next month, as the two countries seek to deepen ties in scientific and technological innovation.
Brazilian government dignitaries, business leaders and academic scholars will attend the three-day forum, which runs from Sept. 9 to 11.
The South American country will host the ‘Night of the Country of Honor’ on the opening night, when audiences can enjoy Brazilian cuisine and be entertained by Brazilian music and dance.
“The challenge we face is to enhance partnership between the two countries in the field of scientific and technological innovation,” da Costa, the minister-counselor of the Brazilian Embassy in China, said at a recent press conference about the forum. “We wish to progress from scattered successful cases to a more organic model of continuous cooperation.”
The first China-Brazil Nanotechnology Seminar, which is also part of the fourth China-Brazil Innovation Week, will look at new paths of industry, university and research cooperation between the two sides and will be held on Sept. 11.
Some Brazilian companies will also showcase their innovative concepts and solutions in the Global Tech-matching Fair, the InnoMatch EXPO, from Sept. 10 to 12.
